  CAPTAIN DENNIS EGAN, Chief of Maritime Planning Division,                                                                     
  United States Coast Guard, presented information to the                                                                       
  committee relating to responsibilities and procedures of the                                                                  
  Coast Guard regarding oil spills.   In addition, Captain Egan                                                                 
  answered questions from committee members.                                                                                    
                                                                                                                                
  LARRY DIETRICK, Director of Spill Prevention and Response,                                                                    
  Department of Environmental Conservation, discussed the                                                                       
  Department's responsibilities associated with oil spill                                                                       
  response and answered questions from committee members.
