Representative Hodgins, Chairman, convened the House Special                   
Committee on Oil and Gas meeting at 3:07 p.m.

Committee members present at the call to order were Representatives            
Hodgins, Rokeberg, Ryan and Kemplen.  Representative(s) Ogan, Bunde            
and Brice arrived as the meeting was in progress.                              
                                                                               
SUMMARY OF INFORMATION                                                         
                                                                               
ROGER MARKS, Petroleum Economist, Department of Revenue, presented             
the department's findings on the economic effects of the North                 
slope gas project and answered questions on his testimony.                     
                                                                               
WILSON CONDON, Commissioner, Department of Revenue, answered the               
committee's questions.                                                         
                                                                               
GREG BIDWELL, Special Assistant, Office of the Commissioner,                   
Department of Revenue, answered the committee's questions.                     
                                                                               
BILL VAN DYKE, Petroleum Manager, Lease Administration/Royalty,                
Division of Oil and Gas, Department of Natural Resources, commented            
on Mr. Mark's presentation.                                                    
                                                                               
JOHN SHIVELY, Commissioner, Department of Natural Resources,                   
presented an overview of the National Petroleum Reserve Alaska and             
answered questions on his testimony.
