CALL TO ORDER
Representative Hodgins, Chairman, convened the House Special
Committee on Oil & Gas meeting at 8:10 a.m.
PRESENT
Committee members present at the call to order were Representatives
Hodgins and Rokeberg. Representative(s) Ogan, Kemplen and Bunde
arrived as the meeting was in progress. Other legislators present
were Representative Kubina.
SUMMARY OF INFORMATION
TOM WALDOCK, Vice President, Administration, Enstar, introduced
Dick Barnes.
DICK BARNES, President, Enstar, gave an overview slide presentation
on Cook Inlet gas and answered questions.
DAVID PERKINS, Representative, Marathon Oil Company, discussed
Marathon Oil Company's support for the North Slope Pipeline Project
and outlined Marathon Oil Company's functions and answered
questions on his testimony.
VIRGEL SPURGEON, Director, Regulatory Affairs, North America
Production Division, Phillips Petroleum, discussed the potential to
find new reserves in the Cook Inlet area.
KEVIN TABLER, Manager, Land and Government Affairs, Union Oil
Company of California (Unocal), discussed Unocal's view on the
future of Cook Inlet's gas supply and deliverability for
Southcentral Alaska and answered questions on his testimony.
ROBERT BRADDOCK, Project Director, Alyeska Alloys Iron Carbide
Project, discussed Alyeska Alloy's support of the project and
answered questions on his testimony.
BILL VAN DYKE, Petroleum Manager, Lease Administration/Royalty,
Division of Oil and Gas, Department of Natural Resources, commented
on the natural gas supply and demand situation in Cook Inlet and
answered questions on his testimony.
