CHAIR BOB LYNN called the House Special Committee on Military
and Veterans' Affairs meeting to order at 9:16 p.m.
Representatives Lynn, Masek, Weyhrauch, Dahlstrom, and Cissna
were present at the call to order. Representatives Fate and
Gruenberg arrived as the meeting was in progress.
HJR 29-US COAST GUARD ROTC/JROTC PROGRAMS
CHAIR LYNN announced that the only order of business would be
HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 29, Relating to the establishment of
Reserve Officer Training Corps programs in Alaska by the United
States Coast Guard.

REPRESENTATIVE MASEK moved to report HJR 29 out of committee
with individual recommendations and the accompanying fiscal
note(s); she requested unanimous consent. [No objection was
stated.]
CHAIR LYNN, sponsor of HJR 29, offered his belief that this is a
good resolution which has a lot of support.
