I. CHAIR MIKE HAWKER called the Legislative Council meeting to
order at 1:09 p.m. in room 105 of the Anchorage Legislative

Office Building located at 733 W 4 Avenue. Present at the
call were Representatives Hawker and Johnson, and Senators
Huggins and Stevens; available via teleconference were
Representatives Chenault and P. Wilson, and Senators
Dunleavy, Egan and alternate member Hoffman. Absent were
Representatives Gruenberg, Pruitt and Stoltze, and Senators
Coghill and Meyer. Vice Chair Micciche joined the meeting
via teleconference for RFP 608.
Chair Hawker noted that alternate member Senator Hoffman
would be a voting member of the committee today.
II. EXECUTIVE SESSION: RFP 608 Property Management Services

SENATOR STEVENS moved that Legislative Council go into
executive session under Uniform Rule 22 (b) for the
discussion of a matter that is, by law, required to be
confidential.
The motion passed with no objections.
CHAIR HAWKER stated that Legislators, LAA staff, and Edra
Morledge, staff to Senator Meyer, would stay in the room
during executive session.

Legislative Council went into executive session.

Legislative Council came out of executive session.
CHAIR HAWKER reconfirmed that present in the room were
Senators Stevens and Huggins, and Representative Johnson,
in addition to himself; on teleconference were Senators
Hoffman, Egan, Dunleavy and Micciche, and Representatives
Wilson and Chenault.

SENATOR STEVENS moved that Legislative Council award RFP
608: Property Management Services to Eklutna Real Estate
Services, LLC, for a term of five years for a contract
price of $160,020.00, with five optional one-year renewals
and approve the payment of the Lessee's operating expenses.
CHAIR HAWKER clarified that the amount in the motion was
for the entire five year contract.
A roll call vote was taken.
YEAS: Chenault, Johnson, P. Wilson, Huggins, Dunleavy,
Egan, Stevens, Hoffman, Micciche, Hawker
NAYS: None
The motion passed 10-0.
III. Sanctioning of Charity Events - Girls Scout Auction

SENATOR STEVENS moved Legislative Council ratify the
following charity event, which was previously sanctioned by
the Legislative Council Chair in accordance with AS
24.60.080(a)(2)(b): 2015 Annual Girl Scout Auction
benefitting the Girl Scouts of Alaska
The motion passed with no objection.
There being no further business before the committee, the
Legislative Council meeting was adjourned at 11:34 a.m.
