REPRESENTATIVE NORMAN ROKEBERG, Chair, called the House
Judiciary Standing Committee meeting back to order at 1:30 p.m.

The overview by the Department of Law regarding Statehood
Defense and Natural Resources Lawsuits was given by:
BARBARA J. RITCHIE, Deputy Attorney General, Civil Division,
Department of Law
JOANNE GRACE, Assistant Attorney General, Natural Resources
Section, Civil Division (Anchorage), Department of Law
At the meeting the following handouts were provided: Maps from
Alaska v. United States, Original No. 128; web site of Professor
Gregory Maggs, with resume and docket; and Quarterly Report,
natural resources cases.
