CHAIR  PEGGY WILSON  convened the  meeting of  the House  Health,                                                             
Education  and Social  Services Standing  Committee at  3:07 p.m.                                                               
Present at the call to  order were Representatives Wilson, Gatto,

OVERVIEW:  DIVISION OF PUBLIC ASSISTANCE                                                                                      
                                                                                                                                
JIM  DALMAN,  Acting  Director, Division  of  Public  Assistance,                                                               
Department of  Health and  Social Services,  gave an  overview of                                                               
the  Division of  Public Assistance  and answered  questions from                                                               
the committee members.                                                                                                          
                                                                                                                                
ELLIE  FITZJARRALD,   Chief,  Policy  and   Program  Development,                                                               
Department of  Health and  Social Services,  gave an  overview of                                                               
the  Division of  Public Assistance  and answered  questions from

OVERVIEW:  DIVISION OF MEDICAL ASSISTANCE                                                                                     
                                                                                                                              
VIRGINIA   STONKUS,   Acting   Director,  Division   of   Medical                                                               
Assistance,  Department of  Health and  Social Services,  gave an                                                               
overview  of  the Division  of  Medical  Assistance and  answered                                                               
questions from the committee members.                                                                                           
                                                                                                                                
JON  SHERWOOD, Manager,  Beneficiary Eligibility  Policy Section,                                                               
Division of  Medical Assistance, Department of  Health and Social                                                               
Services, gave an overview of  the Division of Medical Assistance                                                               
and answered questions from the committee members.                                                                              
                                                                                                                                
NANCY  BURNS, Budget  Analyst,  Division  of Medical  Assistance,                                                               
Department   of  Health   and  Social   Services,  was   also  in
