CHAIRMAN DYSON called the House  Health, Education and Social                                                                   
Services Standing Committee meeting to order at 3:06 p.m.

SUMMARY OF INFORMATION                                                                                                          
                                                                                                                                
PAM WATTS, Executive  Director, Governor's Advisory  Board on                                                                   
Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, presented  the 1999 Advisory Board                                                                   
Annual Report.                                                                                                                  
                                                                                                                                
PAT DAVIDSON,  Legislative Auditor, presented  an explanation                                                                   
of  the Division  of  Alcoholism and  Drug  Abuse (ADA)  1997                                                                   
Audit.   The auditor who  did the audit  is no longer  in the                                                                   
State of Alaska.                                                                                                                
                                                                                                                                
MARILEE  FLETCHER,  Regional   Coordinator,  ADA,  introduced                                                                   
LOREN JONES  who was the Director  of ADA at the time  of the                                                                   
audit.    LOREN  JONES explained  the improvements  that have                                                                   
been  occurring  over the  past  several years  and  answered                                                                   
committee questions.

CHAIRMAN DYSON  called an  at ease at  4:09 p.m. in  order to                                                                   
hear HB 387, HB 402 and confirmation  hearings.  [The minutes                                                                   
for HB  387, HB 402 and  the confirmation hearings  are found
