SUMMARY OF INFORMATION                                                                                                          
                                                                                                                                
MARJORIE HAYS, Commissioner, Alaska Commission on Aging,                                                                        
presented a report from the Alaska Commission on Aging which                                                                    
talked about the continuum of care for elders to stay in their                                                                  
homes and communities as long as possible.                                                                                      
                                                                                                                                
JANE DEMMERT, Executive Director, Alaska Commission on Aging                                                                    
(ACOA), also presented a report on the needs of the elderly in                                                                  
Alaska.  She went over the handout from the ACOA and answered                                                                   
questions from committee members.                                                                                               
                                                                                                                                
ALISON ELGEE, Deputy Commissioner, Department of Administration,                                                                
answered questions from the committee.
