CALL TO ORDER
CO-CHAIRMAN DYSON reconvened the House Health, Education and
Social Services Standing Committee at 3:20 p.m. to hear the Child
Protection System Report. [The hearing on HB 27 is included in
3:02 p.m. minutes for this same date.]
PRESENT
Members present for the report were Representatives Dyson,
Coghill, Whitaker, Green, Morgan, Brice and Kemplen.

The following individuals described the responsibilities of the
agencies they represent in the Child Protection System; the needs
they have to continue to do an adequate job; and how they work
together with the other agencies represented:

Services.
RUSS WEBB, Deputy Commissioner, Department of Health and Social
Services.
THERESA TANOURY, Administrator, Family Services, Division of
Family & Youth Services, Department of Health and Social
Services.
CHRIS STOCKARD, Captain, Alaska State Troopers, Department of
Public Safety.
LISA NELSON, Assistant Attorney General, Human Services Section,
Civil Section (Anchorage), Department of Law.
MARSHALL "CURREY" COOK, Assistant Public Advocate, Office of
Public Advocacy (Anchorage), Department of Administration.
BLAIR MCCUNE, Deputy Director, Public Defender Agency, Department
of Administration.
DOUG WOOLIVER, Administrative Attorney, Office of the
Administrative Director, Alaska Court System.
