COMMITTEE CALENDAR
Overview on the rural affordable housing project sponsored by The
Northern Forum involving AHFC [Alaska Housing Finance
Corporation], HUD [U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development], and the Northwest Territories Housing group.
Project discussed will be elder housing 5-plex in Stebbins,
Alaska

Because of lack of a quorum, the House Special Committee on
Economic Development and Tourism was not formally convened.
Instead, the overview was held as a round-table discussion.
Participating telephonically were Representatives Fred Dyson and
Beth Kerttula. Legislative staff members also attended.
SUMMARY OF INFORMATION
A round-table discussion was held on the Arctic housing
development project and the Stebbins senior housing project to
explain the cooperative efforts between the Northwest Territories
Housing Corporation (NTHC) and HUD. The following speakers
participated:
