CHAIR MIKE HAWKER called the Legislative Budget and Audit
Committee meeting to order at 7:01 a.m. Representatives Hawker,
Thompson, and Kito and Senators MacKinnon, Giessel, Bishop, and
Stedman were present at the call to order. Representative Olson
arrived as the meeting was in progress.

CHAIR HAWKER announced that the first order of business would be
for approval of the minutes.

SENATOR MACKINNON made a motion to approve the minutes from the
LB&A meetings of January 29, 2016, and February 11, 2016, as
presented. There being no objection, the minutes from the
meetings of January 29, 2016, and February 11, 2016, were
approved.

CHAIR HAWKER announced that the next order of business would be
to move into an Executive Session.

SENATOR MACKINNON made a motion that the Legislative Budget and
Audit Committee enter into executive session as provided by
Uniform Rule 22(b)(1) since the meeting will involve a
discussion of matters, that the immediate knowledge of, would
adversely affect the finances of a government unit.

SENATOR STEDMAN objected, requesting that his aide be allowed to
remain for the Executive Session.
CHAIR HAWKER acknowledged that staff of seated committee members
were invited to stay for the Executive Session.

SENATOR STEDMAN removed his objection.
There being no further objection, the committee went into
executive session at 7:04 a.m.

CHAIR HAWKER brought the committee back to order, reporting that
the Executive Session had discussed the potential procurement of
additional oil and gas consultants, and had no additional
business to bring before the committee on this subject at this
time.

CHAIR HAWKER announced that the final order of business would be
for other committee business. He noted that there was not any
further business to discuss. He shared announcements for future
committee meetings.
