CHAIR  RALPH SAMUELS  called the  Joint Committee  on Legislative                                                             
Budget and Audit meeting to  order at 12:12 p.m.  Representatives                                                               
Samuels,  Hawker and  Kohring, and  Senators Ben  Stevens, Bunde,                                                               
Wilken, and Hoffman were present at the call to order.                                                                          
                                                                                                                                
^OTHER COMMITTEE BUSINESS                                                                                                       
                                                                                                                                
CHAIR SAMUELS announced that the only business would be the                                                                     
approval of the Stranded Gas Act contract.                                                                                      
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR HOFFMAN  asked how much  the contract  is for and  if the                                                               
person would be reporting to Chair Samuels.                                                                                     
                                                                                                                                
CHAIR  SAMUELS  answered  that  the contract  is  not  to  exceed                                                               
$100,000 and would  be awarded to Bonnie  Robson whose experience                                                               
at the  Department of Natural  Resources, Department of  Law, and                                                               
in the  practice of  law gives  her the  expertise needed  by the                                                               
committee.                                                                                                                      
                                                                                                                                
REPRESENTATIVE HAWKER  moved to authorize Chair  Samuels to award                                                               
the contract  to Ms. Robson,  not to  exceed $100,000.   He added                                                               
that Ms. Robson would report directly to Chair Samuels.                                                                         
                                                                                                                                
CHAIR SAMUELS,  hearing no objection,  announced the  approval of                                                               
the contract.

There being no  further business before the  committee, the Joint                                                               
Committee on  Legislative Budget and Audit  meeting was adjourned                                                               
at 12:15 p.m.
