CHAIR GAIL PHILLIPS resumed the Joint Committee on Legislative
Budget and Audit meeting [recessed on January 24, 2000] at 8:40
a.m. Members present at the call to order were Representatives
Phillips, Bunde, Croft, Therriault and Mulder, and Senators
Phillips and Pearce.
OTHER COMMITTEE BUSINESS
CHAIR PHILLIPS informed the committee that the meeting was
reconvened for the purpose of considering an amendment to a
pending audit. She referred to a letter from Senator Torgerson
and Senator Parnell, dated January 25, 2000, stating that the
Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) audit should be
amended.

REPRESENTATIVE CROFT indicated the legislative auditor had
assured him that with the changes it can be done quickly;
therefore, he had no objection to holding it while the committee
added the changes.
PAT DAVIDSON, Legislative Auditor, Legislative Audit Division,
Alaska State Legislature, explained that it would be appropriate
for the committee to vote and approve the audit request.

SENATOR PHILLIPS made a motion to approve the amended AHFC audit
request, as requested by Senator Torgerson. There being no
objection, the amended AHFC audit request was approved.

ADJOURNMENT
CHAIR PHILLIPS adjourned the Joint Committee on Legislative
Budget and Audit meeting at 8:45 a.m.
