CALL TO ORDER
Co-Chair Gary Wilken convened the meeting at approximately
4:08:18 PM.

HB 365-APPROP: OPERATING BUDGET/LOANS/FUNDS
HB 366-APPROP: MENTAL HEALTH BUDGET
The Committee reached agreements on items subject to conference
for the Department of Administration, the Department of
Commerce, Community and Economic Development, the Department of
Education and Early Development, the Office of the Governor, and
the Department of Labor and Workforce Development. The bill was
held in Committee.

This was the seventh hearing of the Conference Committee on HB
365 and HB 366.

Department of Administration
Representative Chenault offered a motion to rescind the
Committees action in closing Item 2.
Representative Chenault offered a motion to adopt the Senate
version of Item 1 and 9; the House of Representatives version of
Item 2; the House of Representatives version less $100,000 of
Item 10; the Senate version less $350,000 of Item 11; and the
Senate version less $175,000 of Item 12.
Representative Joule asked the impact of the action on Item 10.
Co-Chair Wilken had not heard of specific impacts, but
understood this would not impact Gavel-to-Gavel programming.
Senator Hoffman asked if this would result in a 15 percent
reduction.
Co-Chair Wilken calculated the amount of the reduction at
approximately 15 percent.
There was no objection and the indicated amounts were ADOPTED.
This concluded action on the items subject to conference for the
Department of Administration.

Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development
Representative Chenault offered a motion to adopt the Senate
version of Items 6 - 11, 13 and 14; the House of Representatives
version of Item 3; the Senate version less $1 million for Item
17; and the House of Representatives version less $75,000 for
Item 4.
There was no objection and the indicated amounts were ADOPTED.
This concluded actions on items subject to conference for the
Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development.

Representative Chenault offered a motion to adopt the Senate
versions of Item 3, and the House of Representatives version of
Item 2.
There was no objection and the indicated amounts were ADOPTED.

Representative Chenault offered a motion to adopt the Senate
version of Items 1 through 3.
There was no objection and the indicated amounts were ADOPTED.

Department of Labor and Workforce Development
No action was taken on Item 9 at this time.
Representative Chenault offered a motion to adopt the Senate
version of Items 9, 10, 13 through 18, 20 and 21; the House of
Representatives version of Items 2, 11 and 12; and the House of
Representatives version less $50,000 for Item 24.
There was no objection and the amounts indicated were ADOPTED.

The Committee viewed a presentation of "How a Budget is Put
Together," a comedic film edited by staff of the Senate Finance
Committee.
