HB 189-SALE OF ALCOHOL 1:42:30 PM CHAIR BJORKMAN announced the consideration of CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 189(L&C) am "An Act relating to the sale of alcohol; relating to the posting of warning signs for alcoholic beverages; and providing for an effective date." CHAIR BJORKMAN stated that on May 9, 2024, the committee adopted Senate committee substitute (SCS) for CSHB 189 and two amendments. However, an error was found and the intention was to rescind the action in reporting the bill from committee. 1:42:59 PM CHAIR BJORKMAN solicited a motion to rescind. 1:43:02 PM SENATOR GRAY-JACKSON moved to rescind the committee's action in reporting out SCS CSHB 189 (L&C). 1:43:13 PM CHAIR BJORKMAN found no objection, SCS CSHB 189, work order 33- LS0697\U, as amended, is back before the committee. 1:44:41 PM CHAIR BJORKMAN said further action on HB 189 and HB 251 are pending amendments from Legal Services. 1:45:08 PM CHAIR BJORKMAN recessed to call of the chair. 4:56:18 PM CHAIR BJORKMAN reconvened the meeting and said amendments for HB 189 and HB 251 were not received from Legal Services.
