HB 308-CHILD SAFETY SEAT INSTALLATION LIABILITY 1:10:50 PM CHAIR MCGUIRE announced the consideration of HB 308 am. [Senate CS, version \H, is before the committee and Senator Wielechowski voiced objection after Mr. Logan explained the changes.] CHAIR MCGUIRE asked for a motion to adopt HB 308 am. 1:10:58 PM SENATOR COGHILL stated that the committee previously adopted a committee substitute for the bill and his motion would be to return to the version that passed the House. He moved to adopt HB 308 am, labeled 29-LS1323\A.A, as the working document. CHAIR MCGUIRE found no objection, and asked if there were any questions or comments. SENATOR COSTELLO described HB 308 as a good bill; it will encourage people to get training to install child safety seats by removing liability for individuals who are training to make the installations. 1:12:06 PM CHAIR MCGUIRE stated support for the bill and solicited a motion. 1:12:31 PM SENATOR COGHILL moved to report HB 308 am, labeled 29- LS1323\A.A, from committee with individual recommendations and attached fiscal note(s) CHAIR MCGUIRE announced that without objection, HB 308 am is reported from the Senate Judiciary Standing Committee.
