SR 5-ORDER OF EASTERN STAR COMMUNICATION WEEK
CHAIR MCGUIRE announced the consideration of SR 5.

DON BURRELL, Staff to Representative Bettye Davis, sponsor of SR
5, said the Eastern Star is one of the largest fraternal
organizations of men and women in the world. It was established
in 1850 and there are about 10,000 chapters and one million
members. For membership, men must be master masons and women
must be related to master masons. The Prince Hall Grand Chapter,
Order of the Eastern Star, Alaska Jurisdiction will be hosting
th
the 35 annual communication week beginning April 14. The
chapter has been a charitable organization since 1972, and its
purposes include charity, education, fraternity and science. The
order uses biblical examples of heroic conduct and moral value
to portray the noble and moral principles of Eastern Star
members. The order endeavors to use good people dedicated to
charity, truth and loving kindness. On behalf of the order, he
requests the recognition of the week of April 14 as Prince Hall
Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Alaska Jurisdiction,
35th Annual Communication Week.
