SB 302-OATHS; NOTARIES PUBLIC; STATE SEAL Number 0005 CHAIR WEYHRAUCH announced that the first order of business was CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 302(FIN), "An Act relating to the authority to take oaths, affirmations, and acknowledgments in the state, to notarizations, to verifications, to acknowledgments, to fees for issuing certificates with the seal of the state affixed, and to notaries public; and providing for an effective date." [The recording starts at this point.] Number 0044 REPRESENTATIVE GRUENBERG moved to adopt the House committee substitute (HCS) for CS for SB 302(STA), Version 23-GS2022\S, Bannister, 5/9/04, as a work draft. There being no objection, Version S was before the committee. REPRESENTATIVE LYNN expressed, for the record, his appreciation of Chair Weyhrauch's handling of the House State Affairs Standing Committee for the last couple of years. Number 0067 REPRESENTATIVE SEATON moved to report HCS CSSB 302 out of committee with individual recommendations and the accompanying fiscal notes. There being no objection, HCS CSSB 302(STA) was reported out of the House State Affairs Standing Committee.
