         SB 298-PAY RAISE FOR NON-UNION STATE EMPLOYEES                                                                         
                                                                                                                                
CHAIRMAN KELLY announced that a Senate Rules Committee substitute                                                               
had been prepared which tightens up the language in the Senate                                                                  
Finance Committee substitute.                                                                                                   
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR LEMAN moved to adopt the Senate Rules Committee substitute.                                                             
There being no objection, the motion carried.                                                                                   
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR LEMAN moved to calendar all Senate versions of SB 298 at                                                                
the Chairman's discretion with accompanying fiscal notes and                                                                    
individual recommendations.  There being no objection, the motion                                                               
carried.
