Number 000
CHAIR FOSTER called the meeting to order at 5:05 p.m. and
welcomed Senator Bert Sharp, sponsor of SB 275.
Number 014
SENATOR BERT SHARP noted that a representative from Senator
Zharoff's office was in attendance, and that a CS was being
proposed incorporating an amendment discussed on the floor
of the Senate, which he hoped the committee would consider.
He added that this piece of legislation originally was
introduced by the Senate Transportation Committee at the
request of the Department of Transportation/Public
Facilities, and that it essentially makes airport land
disposal consistent with highway land disposal.
Number 082
CHAIR FOSTER asked if there were any questions. There were
none, and he stated that he would entertain a motion to move
SB 275 out of committee, if the committee so desired.
Number 086
REPRESENTATIVE DAVIS moved that the committee adopt the
workdraft of HCS for CSSB 275. There were no objections,
and Chair Foster declared that the committee had adopted
HCSCSSB 275.
Number 093
REPRESENTATIVE MULDER moved that HCSCSSB 275 be moved out of
committee. There were no objections, and Chair Foster
declared HCSCSSB 275 to be moved out of the House
Transportation Committee.
Number 101
CHAIR FOSTER thanked the committee members for two years of
work on the committee, noting that this would probably be
the last meeting. He made special thanks to Representative
Curt Menard, observing that Representative Menard had been
on the House Transportation Committee for six years, and
before that, Chair of Senate Transportation. He noted that
Representative Menard was not running for reelection.
Number 115
CHAIR FOSTER adjourned the meeting at 5:10 p.m.
