SENATE BILL NO. 184
"An Act relating to public access to legislative
committee meetings during regular legislative sessions
by Internet broadcast."
SENATOR HOLLIS FRENCH, SPONSOR, stated that the intention
of the bill is to bring Alaska to the capital through web
cams in every committee room where a hearing is taking
place, so that throughout the state, the proceedings can be
watched.
Co-Chair Hoffman MOVED to REPORT SB 184 out of Committee
with individual recommendations and the accompanying fiscal
notes. There being NO OBJECTION, it was so ordered.
SB 184 was REPORTED out of Committee with a "do pass"
recommendation and with a new zero fiscal note by the
Legislature.
