     "An Act  relating to  prior authorization  requests for                                                                    
     medical  care   covered  by  a  health   care  insurer;                                                                    
     relating   to   a   prior   authorization   application                                                                    
     programming interface; relating to step therapy; and

SENATOR   JESSE   BJORKMAN,    SPONSOR,   reintroduced   the                                                                    
legislation. The bill addressed  prior authorization for the                                                                    
process  of  medical  care  that was  covered  by  a  health                                                                    
insurer. The  bill was a  result of  a way to  rationalize a                                                                    
system by which health  insurance approved patient care. The                                                                    
goal was  to establish clear  timelines, in order  to reduce                                                                    
the amount of time.
