CO-CHAIR RUFFRIDGE announced that the next order of business
would be SENATE BILL NO. 24, "An Act relating to mental health
education; and providing for an effective date."

SENATOR ELVI GRAY-JACKSON, Alaska State Legislature, as prime
sponsor, presented CSSB 24(FIN) and explained that the bill
encouraged mental health education and the curriculum that
already exists in K-12.

CO-CHAIR ALLARD moved to report CSSB 24(FIN) out of committee
with individual recommendations and the accompanying fiscal
notes. There being no objection, CSSB 24(FIN) was reported out
of the House Education Standing Committee.
