SUMMARY INFORMATION
SB 11 SCHOOL DEBT REIMBURSEMENT
COCHAIR SHARP noted that the CS draft version K before
the committee incorporated the changes to date. He
turned the gavel over to COCHAIR PEARCE for the
remainder of the meeting. COCHAIR SHARP MOVED for
adoption of the CS draft and there was no objection.
COCHAIR SHARP MOVED Amendment #7. SENATOR PHILLIPS
objected. By a vote of 4 to 2, Amendment #7 was
ADOPTED. SENATOR ADAMS MOVED Amendment #3. SENATOR
PHILLIPS objected. By a vote of 1 to 6, Amendment #3
FAILED. SENATOR PHILLIPS MOVED Amendment #8. SENATOR
PARNELL objected. By a vote of 4 to 3, Amendment #8
was ADOPTED. COCHAIR SHARP MOVED the bill from
committee with individual recommendations. Without
objection, CSSB 11(FIN) was REPORTED OUT with a
forthcoming fiscal note from the Department of
Education.

and providing for an effective date."

and there was no objection. COCHAIR SHARP MOVED Amendment
SENATOR ADAMS asked if the amendment removed the retroactive
clause. COCHAIR SHARP confirmed and explained. SENATOR
PHILLIPS objected.
A vote was taken on the MOTION to adopt Amendment #7.
IN FAVOR: Sharp, Torgerson, Adams, Pearce
OPPOSED: Parnell, Phillips
Amendment #7 was ADOPTED by a 4 to 2 vote.
SENATOR ADAMS MOVED Amendment #3. SENATOR PHILLIPS
objected. SENATOR ADAMS explained the amendment.
A vote was taken on the MOTION to adopt Amendment #3.
