CO-CHAIR MCGUIRE announced HJR 27 to be up for consideration.
[SCS CSHB(RES), 26-LS0760\E had been moved from committee on
4/17/09.]
CO-CHAIR WIELECHOWSKI moved to adopt Senate CS for CSHJR 27, 26-
LS0760\S as the working document. There being no objection,
version S was before the committee.
CO-CHAIR MCGUIRE asked him to explain the changes that were
made.
DEREK MILLER, staff to Representative Kelly, sponsor of HJR 27,
explained the SCS deleted a "whereas clause" from the previous
version in reference to the federal government being an agent of
the states. The sponsor supports this compromise, he said.

CO-CHAIR WIELECHOWSKI asked if SENATOR FRENCH had reviewed the
SCS.
SENATOR FRENCH replied yes, and he found that his concerns were
addressed.

CO-CHAIR WIELECHOWSKI moved to report [SCS for] CS for HJR 27
from committee with individual recommendations and attached
fiscal note(s). There being no objection, SCS CSHJR 27(2D RES),
26-LS0760\S, moved from committee.
