           HB 307-OIL/GAS EXPLORATION INCENTIVE CREDIT                                                                      
                                                                                                                              
CHAIRMAN TORGERSON announced HB 307 to be up for consideration.                                                                 
                                                                                                                                
MS. CAROL  CARROLL, Department  of Natural  Resources (DNR),  said                                                              
DNR supports HB 307.                                                                                                            
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR ELTON  said his  notes reflect that  when the bill  was in                                                              
the  House, the  department  was  neutral and  asked  if they  had                                                              
changed their position.                                                                                                         
                                                                                                                                
MS. CARROLL said she had misspoke  at that time. The department is                                                              
neutral on the bill.                                                                                                            
                                                                                                                                
CHAIRMAN TORGERSON noted that there  were a lot of shallow oil and                                                              
gas incentives on the books. Some  are being used and some aren't.                                                              
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR  TAYLOR  moved   to  pass  HB  307  from   committee  with                                                              
individual recommendations.  There were  no objections and  it was                                                              
so ordered.
