"An Act extending the termination date of the Board of
Pharmacy; and providing for an effective date."

Co-Chair Bishop relayed that it was the second hearing for
HB 306 and the committee had heard public testimony on May
17. It was the committee's intent to consider a Committee
Substitute (CS), discuss the fiscal note, and look to the
will of the committee.
Senator von Imhof MOVED to ADOPT proposed committee
substitute for HB 306, Work Draft 32-LS1434\G
(Ambrose,5/18/22).
Co-Chair Bishop OBJECTED or discussion.
ERIN SHINE, STAFF, SENATOR CLICK BISHOP, relayed that the
proposed CS had a new title and a new section on page 1,
line 6 through line 8, which amended AS 44.66.010 (a) (1)
to extend the sunset date of the Alcohol Beverage Control
Board to June 30, 2027. The CS also added a new Section 3
on page 1, line 9 through line 13 that amended uncodified
law to exempt Sections 1 and 2 from the provision that
prohibited a bill from continuing or reestablishing more
than one board or commission.
Co-Chair Bishop WITHDREW his OBJECTION. There being NO
further OBJECTION, it was so ordered.
Co-Chair Bishop discussed a previously published fiscal
impact note from the Department of Commerce, Community and
Economic Development, with appropriation for the Division
of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing
(CBPL), OMB Component 2360. There was $21,700 per year in
costs under Receipt Supported Services.
Senator von Imhof MOVED to report SCS HB 306(FIN) out of
Committee with individual recommendations and the
accompanying fiscal note.
SCS HB 306(FIN) was REPORTED out of committee with six "do
pass" recommendations and with one "no recommendation"
recommendation, and with one previously published fiscal
impact note: FN 1(CED).
Co-Chair Bishop thanked the Senate Finance Committee staff
and the committee member's staff.
Co-Chair Bishop complimented Senator von Imhof on her work.
