Representative Ortiz OBJECTED to Item 9, and queried its
impact.
Mr. Painter replied that the House had a net zero fund
change, which swapped out $1.5 million of general fund
programming receipts to other fund sources. He furthered
that the Senate version did a partial fund change, and a
reduction of $16,500. Therefore, adopting the Senate
version gave a reduction of $716,500.
Representative Ortiz surmised that it gave a net reduction
to commercial fisheries, and noted that the description
showed a detail of commercial crew member license receipts.
He wondered whether those receipts went into commercial
fisheries operating funds.
Mr. Painter replied in the affirmative and stated that the
shortfall fund source was the program receipts, and stated
that the shortfall would be filled with commercial
fisheries entrance receipts.
Representative Ortiz removed his objection.
There being NO further OBJECTION, it was so ordered. This
action closed the conference-able items in the Department
