CHAIR BJORKMAN announced the consideration of CS FOR HOUSE BILL
NO. 251(L&C) am "An Act exempting certain foods and drinks
prepared in an uninspected kitchen from state labeling,
licensing, packaging, permitting, and inspection requirements;
and permitting a person to acquire meat from a producer by way
of an ownership share in an animal if certain conditions are
met."

CHAIR BJORKMAN stated the committee is waiting for Senate
committee substitute (SCS) for HB 251 that will improve the bill
by incorporating a portion of the Crop Act. He stated the
committee would hear HB 251 when a draft is received from Legal
Services.

CHAIR BJORKMAN held HB 251 in committee.

CHAIR BJORKMAN said further action on HB 189 and HB 251 are
pending amendments from Legal Services.

CHAIR BJORKMAN recessed to call of the chair.

CHAIR BJORKMAN reconvened the meeting and said amendments for HB
189 and HB 251 were not received from Legal Services.
