HOUSE BILL NO. 184
"An Act relating to the debt authorization of the
University of Alaska."
3:01:40 PM
DEREK MILLER, STAFF, REPRESENTATIVE MIKE KELLY explained
that the bill raises the current bond debt cap for the
University of Alaska to reflect today's construction
prices.
Co-Chair Stedman asked if the bill allows the university to
increase bonding for the Life Sciences Building. Mr. Miller
responded that if the bill passes, the additional notice
requirement for the bonding would not be necessary.
Co-Chair Stedman pointed out one zero fiscal note.
HB 184 was HEARD and HELD in Committee for further
consideration.
