Chair Wilson announced the consideration of CS FOR HOUSE BILL
NO. 133(L&C) "An Act relating to the Alaska savings program for
eligible individuals; relating to education savings programs;
relating to the Education Trust of Alaska; relating to the
Alaska advance college tuition savings fund; relating to the
Alaska education savings program for children; and relating to
the Governor's Council on Disabilities and Special Education."

REPRESENTATIVE ZACH FIELDS, Alaska State Legislature, Juneau,
Alaska, sponsor of HB 133, thanked members for hearing HB 133.

CHAIR WILSON asked if there was any further discussion on HB
133.
SENATOR HUGHES stated she suggested Representative Field's
office work with the federal delegation and asked for an update.
REPRESENTATIVE FIELDS thanked Senator Hughes and Senator Begich
for collaborating on the letter sent to the delegation stating
the bill was moving from committee and, if passed, would
automatically update the age threshold dependent on the federal
legislation.

SENATOR HUGHES moved to report HB 133, work order 32-LS0450/I,
from committee with individual recommendations and attached
fiscal notes.

CHAIR WILSON found no objection and CSHB 133(L&C) was reported
from the Senate Health and Social Services Standing Committee.
