Co-Chair Seaton indicated that limited powers of free
conference had been granted by both the House and the
Senate. He invited David Teal, Director of the Legislative
Finance Division to join legislators at the table. He
explained how any objections would be handled. If there
were an objection, he would make a note of the Item and
hold it aside. The committee would continue to go through
the other items in the department, adopt them, and then
come back to any item that had an objection. He reported
that the conference committee would be addressing open
items in HB 57 and HB 59 based on the motion sheets
distributed to members earlier dated June 6th on the
Department of Administration (DOA) and the Department of
Commerce, Community, and Economic Development (DCCED).

Department of Administration's budget:

There being NO OBJECTION, it was so ordered.

Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic
Development's budget:

There being NO OBJECTION, it was so ordered.
Co-Chair Seaton indicated that the action closed the
conference-able items in the Department of Commerce,
Community and Economic Development.
Co-Chair Seaton conveyed that once the next meeting date
and time was determined, the meeting would be noticed on
BASIS. He expected that the Conference Committee would meet
again later in the current week.
HB 57 was HEARD and HELD in committee for further
consideration.
HB 59 was HEARD and HELD in committee for further
consideration.
Senator Hoffmann relayed that the Senate was encouraged by
the current meeting and was looking forward to continuing
to work cooperatively with the other body to take care of
the state's business.
