  HB 55     -    Act making appropriations  for the  operating                 
  and loan            program expenses of state government and                 
                      to capitalize funds;  and providing  for                 
                      an effective date.                                       
                                                                               
                 Budget  Overviews  were  conducted   for  the                 
  following                departments:

                      UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA                                     
                                                                               
               DEPT. OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES                             
                                                                               
                                                                               
  Log  notes  of  the  meeting,  handouts distributed  by  the                 
  departments, and a tape recording of the meeting are on file                 
  in  the  office of  the  Senate Finance  Committee Secretary                 
  (465-4935) and  may be requested through that  office or the
