The Education Committee considered SENATE BILL NO. 278 "An                                                                      
Act relating to the required local contribution made by a city or                                                               
borough school district for public school funding; and providing for an                                                         
effective date" and recommended it be replaced with                                                                             
                                                                                                                                
            CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 278(EDC) "An Act                                                                             
            relating to school consolidation; relating to the                                                                   
            required local contribution made by a city or borough                                                               
            school district for public school funding; and                                                                      
            providing for an effective date."
