The entity shall maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and security of the information." Representative Elam moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Objection was heard and withdrawn. There being no further objection, Amendment No. 1 was adopted. Amendment No. 2 was not offered. Amendment No. 3 was offered by Representative St. Clair: Page 1, lines 1 - 2 (title amendment): Delete "for driver's license data verification purposes" Page 2, line 2, following "only": Insert "to confirm the information of an individual who has voluntarily provided the individual's state driver's license or identification card" Page 2, lines 6 - 12: Delete all material and insert: "(g) The department shall, upon request, furnish information maintained by the department under this section to (1) a nonprofit organization or governmental or tribal entity approved by the United States Social Security Administration to facilitate driver's license data verification; in this paragraph, "nonprofit organization" means an organization 2026-05-15 House Journal Page 2620 that qualifies for exemption from taxation under 26 U.S.C. 501(c)(3) or (4) (Internal Revenue Code); (2) an entity participating in the Transportation Security Administration's Registered Traveler Programs; information provided under this paragraph shall be used for lawful purposes and is not limited to use within a program if the entity receives the information in order to facilitate driver's license or identification card data verification and the individual has voluntarily provided their driver's license or identification card." Representative St. Clair moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 3 be adopted. Representative Gray objected. The Speaker stated that, without objection, CSSB 237(JUD) am H would be held in second reading with Amendment No. 3 pending to the May 16 calendar.
