With the deepest respect for the religious beliefs of all Alaskans, I offer the following pray: Heavenly Father, I come before you and I thank you for this legislative body today. I thank you for their hard work, their sacrifices, and their willingness to answer the call to serve. I ask that you would continue to anoint each and every person here as they gather to make decisions for the State of Alaska and its people. Jesus, I ask that you would give them wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Give them a heart of love and peace for the people that they lead and represent.
