In accordance with past practice and usage, the Conference Committee requests authorization to add the monetary terms of collective bargaining agreements for the following bargaining units: Alaska Correctional Officers Association Correctional Officers Unit Alaska Public Employees Association / Supervisory Unit Labor, Trades and Crafts Unit Alaska Graduate Workers Association / UAW Signing the report: Senator Stedman, Chair, Senator Olson; Representative D. Johnson, Chair, Representatives Edgmon, Ortiz. President Stevens granted the Senate members limited powers of free conference as requested. President Stevens ruled past precedent and usage allows the Conference Committee to incorporate the specified late-arriving collective bargaining agreements. Senator Stedman objected to the ruling of the chair. The question being: "Shall the Senate uphold the ruling of the chair?" The roll was taken with the following result: Uphold Ruling of the Chair? YEAS: 18 NAYS: 0 EXCUSED: 0 ABSENT: 2 Yeas: Bishop, Claman, Dunbar, Giessel, Gray-Jackson, Hoffman, Hughes, Kaufman, Kawasaki, Kiehl, Merrick, Myers, Olson, Shower, Stedman, Stevens, Tobin, Wielechowski Absent: Bjorkman, Wilson and so, the ruling of the chair was upheld. The Secretary was requested to notify the House.
