passed during the second session of the Thirty-Third Alaska State                                                               
Legislature, and am transmitting the engrossed and enrolled copies to                                                           
the Lieutenant Governor’s Office for permanent filing:                                                                          
                                                                                                                                
             CONFERENCE CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 268(Corrected)                                                                   
    "An Act making appropriations for the operating and loan                                                                    
    program expenses of state government and for certain programs;                                                              
    capitalizing funds; repealing appropriations; amending                                                                      
    appropriations; making supplemental appropriations and

This budget, with line item vetoes, represents prudent and fiscally                                                             
responsible investments in public safety, education, energy, and                                                                
housing for all Alaskans. The vetoes made were the result of a                                                                  
thorough evaluation and consistent application of the priorities of my                                                          
administration to preserve general funds for savings and ensure fiscal
