Senator Reinbold offered Amendment No. 36 : Page 2, line 1, following "funding": Insert "relating to a state disaster plan;" Page 14, following line 10: Insert a new bill section to read: "* Sec. 17. AS 26.23.040 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: (h) In addition to the state emergency plan required by (a) of this section, the state shall prepare and maintain a disaster plan to be executed in the event of a natural disaster or external threat. The disaster plan must include provisions for distributing food and water to each district of the state and for providing heat and medical supplies to key facilities in each district of the state within three days of the disaster or threat. The state shall stockpile sufficient food, water, and other supplies for 60 days of emergency use for each community in the state." Renumber the following bill sections accordingly. Senator Reinbold moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 36. Senator von Imhof objected. Senator Reinbold moved and asked unanimous consent to withdraw Amendment No. 36. Without objection, Amendment No. 36 was withdrawn.
