Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representative Rauscher: Page 3, line 30: Delete "appropriated" Insert "provided by participating villages" Page 4, line 2, following "officers": Insert "for the participating villages" Page 4, lines 3 - 5: Delete "With funds appropriated for that purpose, the commissioner shall provide grants to nonprofit regional corporations and Alaska Native organizations for training and employment of village public safety officers." Insert "The commissioner shall use funds provided by participating villages to provide grants to nonprofit regional corporations and Alaska Native organizations for training and employment of village public safety officers for the participating villages." 2022-05-05 House Journal Page 2790 Page 4, line 6, following the first occurrence of "a": Insert "participating" Page 5, line 10, following "if": Insert "(1)" Page 5, line 11, following "needs": Insert "; and (2) the participating village provides the funding to support the additional village public safety officer" Representative Rauscher moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Zulkosky objected. Representative Rauscher moved and asked unanimous consent to withdraw Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Representative Tuck moved and asked unanimous consent that HCS CSSB 81(FIN) be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading, and placed on final passage. Objection was heard and withdrawn. Representative Eastman objected. The question being: "Shall HCS CSSB 81(FIN) be advanced to third reading on the same day?" HCS CSSB 81(FIN) was read the third time. The question being: "Shall HCS CSSB 81(FIN) pass the House?"
