     We pray today in the spirit of hope.  Let us not be guided by                                                              
     fear or the mindset of scarcity, but by the courage to imagine                                                             
     and work toward a better future.  We pray that we will be                                                                  
     granted wisdom and compassion, so that we can stand up for                                                                 
     and represent the poor, the meek, and those who mourn.  We                                                                 
     pray that we will not only represent, but also that we will be                                                             
     people who are peacemakers.  That we will not only                                                                         
     represent, but also that we will be people who hunger and                                                                  
     thirst for righteousness.  That we will not only represent, but                                                            
     also that we will be people who are merciful and pure in heart.                                                            
                                                                                                                                
     In that endeavor, we pray for guidance so that we can work                                                                 
     together:  With intelligence and wisdom.  With courage and                                                                 
     humbleness.  With love and compassion.                                                                                     
                                                                                                                                
     We pray together for hope, in the spirit of hope, so that we                                                               
     may provide hope for each and every person in the state of
