Amendment No. 2 was offered by Representatives Wilson, Josephson, Johnston, and Fields: Page 1, line 6, following "branch;" (title amendment): Insert "requiring the commissioner of administration to submit a report to the legislature;" Page 2, following line 3: Insert a new bill section to read: "* Sec. 4. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to read: TRANSITION. Not later than 30 days after the effective date of this Act, the commissioner of administration shall prepare and submit to the legislature a report that includes a list of all positions in the exempt service of the state under AS 39.25.110 and the partially exempt service of the state under AS 39.25.120 and the salary and proposed salary schedule for each of those positions. The commissioner of administration shall deliver the report to the senate secretary and the chief clerk of the house of representatives and notify the legislature that the report is available." Renumber the following bill section accordingly. Representative Wilson moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 2 be adopted. Representative Eastman objected.
