Full Journal pdf2019-04-17 Senate Journal Page 0859 SB 89 Senator Costello moved to take up the concur message on HOUSE CS FOR CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 89(JUD) "An Act relating to the Legislative Ethics Act; and providing for an effective date" which had been held on the Secretary’s desk (page 805). Without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Costello moved that the Senate concur in the House amendment and recommended the body vote no. Senator Begich objected, then withdrew his objection. The question being: "Shall the Senate concur in the House amendment?" The roll was taken with the following result: HCS CSSB 89(JUD) Shall the Senate Concur in the House Amendment to CSSB 89(JUD)? YEAS: 0 NAYS: 20 EXCUSED: 0 ABSENT: 0 Nays: Begich, Birch, Bishop, Coghill, Costello, Giessel, Gray- Jackson, Hoffman, Hughes, Kawasaki, Kiehl, Micciche, Olson, Reinbold, Shower, Stedman, Stevens, von Imhof, Wielechowski, Wilson and so, the Senate failed to concur. 2019-04-17 Senate Journal Page 0860 Senator Costello moved the Senate waive Uniform Rule 42(a) for the purpose of appointing a free conference committee. Senator Begich objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further objection, Uniform Rule 42(a) was waived. The Secretary was requested to notify the House of the Senate's action and request the House to recede from its amendment.
