The question being: "Shall CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 52(L&C) "An Act providing that portable electronics insurance is not a service contract; providing that a portable electronics manufacturer's warranty or extended warranty is not regulated as insurance; relating to portable electronics insurance; authorizing the director of insurance to issue a limited producer license to a portable electronics vendor for the sale of portable electronics insurance; and relating to authorization and training of employees and representatives of a vendor to transact portable electronics insurance; and providing for an effective date" pass the Senate?" The roll was taken with the following result: CSSB 52(L&C) Third Reading - Final Passage Effective Date YEAS: 19 NAYS: 0 EXCUSED: 1 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Bishop, Coghill, Dunleavy, Dyson, Egan, Fairclough, French, Gardner, Giessel, Hoffman, Huggins, Kelly, McGuire, Meyer, Micciche, Olson, Stedman, Stevens, Wielechowski Excused: Ellis and so, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 52(L&C) passed the Senate. Senator Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that the vote on the passage of the bill be considered the vote on the effective date clause. Without objection, it was so ordered and the bill was referred to the Secretary for engrossment.
