Under the authority of Article III, Section 18, of the Alaska                                                                   
Constitution, I am transmitting a bill extending the termination date of                                                        
the Alaska coastal management program by six years and relating to                                                              
the extension; relating to the review of activities of the Alaska coastal                                                       
management program; and providing for an effective date by                                                                      
amending the effective date of Sec. 22, Ch. 31, SLA 2005.                                                                       
                                                                                                                                
The Alaska coastal management program is currently set to                                                                       
automatically terminate on July 1, 2011.
