HCR 17 Senator Ellis moved and asked unanimous consent to take up HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 17, which had been held on the Secretary's desk (page 1074). Without objection, HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 17 was before the Senate on final passage. The question being: "Shall HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 17 Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, concerning Senate Bill No. 183, authorizing the Department of Environmental Conservation to award grants for the control of air emissions or the development and administration of air quality control programs, pass the Senate?" The roll was taken with the following result: HCR 17 Final Passage YEAS: 19 NAYS: 0 EXCUSED: 0 ABSENT: 0 VACANT: 1 Yeas: Bunde, Davis, Dyson, Ellis, French, Hoffman, Huggins, Kookesh, McGuire, Menard, Meyer, Olson, Paskvan, Stedman, Stevens, Therriault, Thomas, Wagoner, Wielechowski and so, HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 17 passed the Senate, was signed by the President and Secretary and returned to the House. HCR 1 Senator Ellis moved and asked unanimous consent to take up CS FOR HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 1(L&C), which had been held on the Secretary's desk (page 1013). Without objection, the resolution was read the second time and was before the Senate on final passage. The question being: "Shall CS FOR HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 1(L&C) Encouraging the voluntary installation of fire sprinkler systems in residences, pass the Senate?"
