The Labor and Commerce Committee considered SENATE BILL NO.                                                                     
263 "An Act relating to the State Board of Registration for Architects,                                                         
Engineers, and Land Surveyors; and relating to an exemption for                                                                 
persons certified by the National Institute for Certification in                                                                
Engineering Technologies who are engaged in the design of fire                                                                  
detection and suppression systems from registration as architects,                                                              
engineers, land surveyors, or landscape architects" and recommended                                                             
it be replaced with                                                                                                             
                                                                                                                                
          CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 263(L&C) "An Act                                                                               
          relating to the State Board of Registration for                                                                       
          Architects, Engineers, and Land Surveyors; and                                                                        
          relating to an exemption for persons authorized by                                                                    
          the Department of Public Safety who are engaged in                                                                    
          the design of fire detection and suppression systems                                                                  
          from registration as architects, engineers, land
