SENATE BILL NO. 232 "An Act making special, supplemental,                                           
capital, and other appropriations, amending appropriations, and                                     
making appropriations to capitalize funds; and providing for an                                     
effective date" was read the second time.                                                           
                                                                                                    
Senator Wilken, Cochair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the                                  
adoption of the Finance Committee Substitute offered on page 2424.                                  
Senator Ellis objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no                                 
further objection, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 232(FIN) "An Act                                          
making appropriations, supplemental appropriations, and capital                                     
appropriations; amending appropriations and funding sources; making                                 
appropriations to capitalize funds; and providing for an effective date"                            
was adopted.                                                                                        
                                                                                                    
Senator Hoffman offered Amendment No. 1 :                                                            
                                                                                                    
   * Sec. A. FUEL AND UTILITIES INCREASES. The sum of                                             
$8,800,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the Department of                               
Health and Social Services energy assistance program, for fuel and                                  
utilities cost increases for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006.                                  
                                                                                                    
Senator Hoffman moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1.                                          
Senator Green objected.
