CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 338(L&C) "An Act relating to                                                  
applications, qualifications, and criminal history and background                                   
checks for a certificate of fitness for explosives handlers; and                                    
providing for an effective date" was read the second time.                                          
                                                                                                    
President Stevens stated CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 338(L&C) will                                        
be on the May 4 calendar.                                                                           
                                                                                                    
HB 380                                                                                            
CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 380(FIN)(title am) "An Act relating to                                        
the powers and duties of the commissioner of environmental                                          
conservation regarding animals, animal products, agricultural                                       
products, and the transportation of animals and animal products;                                    
relating to the employment, appointment, and duties of a state                                      
veterinarian by the commissioner of environmental conservation;                                     
relating to the powers of the commissioner of natural resources                                     
regarding agricultural products; relating to animal rabies prevention                               
and control; and providing for an effective date" was read the second                               
time.                                                                                               
                                                                                                    
Senator Wagoner, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the                                   
adoption of the Resources Senate Committee Substitute offered on                                    
page 2707. Without objection, SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE                                            
BILL NO. 380(RES) was adopted.                                                                      
                                                                                                    
President Stevens stated SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL                                            
NO. 380(RES) will be on the May 4 calendar.

HOUSE BILL NO. 389 "An Act relating to tourist accommodations                                       
permits and to penalties for failing to comply with permitting                                      
requirements; removing a requirement that persons operating tourist                                 
accommodations post certain laws and regulations on the premises;                                   
and providing for an effective date" was read the second time.                                      
                                                                                                    
President Stevens stated HOUSE BILL NO. 389 will be on the May 4                                    
calendar.
